LBP is a game designed to help players create, play and share user created levels while in a sense making their own planets. You start off by customizing Sackboy, the main character. While playing through the story line you learn Sackboy’s powers and work your way through the 3-D world solving puzzles and collecting materials. The collected materials can be used to create levels throughout the game.
During the PlayStation sponsored Voodoo Music Festival in New Orleans Sony recruited acclaimed artists Lionel Milton (http://www.elleone.com/) and Nathan Cabrera (pictured below; http://nathancabrera.com/) to create levels that users can access via PlayStation 3’s online universe.
Though LBP has garnered a tremendous buzz it’s still unclear if the average gamer will want to take the time to create their own game in a sense but the access is there and easy to use. Overall it’s a fun game that gamers from 8-80 can enjoy.
